Money Chyan

Mr. Chyan has served as Vice President of R&D at Silicon Motion since April 2026, leading the development of the company's embedded eMMC and UFS controller solutions. Since joining Silicon Motion's predecessor, Feiya Technology, in 1999, he has spent more than 26 years developing NAND flash controller technologies. He has contributed to several core product lines, including SD/MMC, multimedia SoCs, and embedded eMMC/UFS controllers, leading more than 30 major development projects and earning over 14 patents in the United States, China, and Taiwan. Mr. Chyan has also driven engineering process innovation by introducing automated verification, AI-assisted development, and other efficiency-enhancing methodologies to improve product quality and accelerate development. He holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical and Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.
